Professional Bio
Michael R. Koeppel is the Founder & Managing Director of Lakelet Advisory Group LLC, where he leads a team of experts delivering high-stakes advisory services in business valuation, restructuring, forensic accounting, and litigation support.
With over 30 years of global experience, Michael has led strategic engagements in technology, manufacturing, and services—specializing in valuation of intellectual property, distressed entities, and complex business structures.
He founded Lakelet Advisory Group in 2003 and previously served as co-founder of a successful private equity firm. His career includes executive roles at Citigroup Venture Capital and board leadership at a public medical device company.
A recognized thought leader, Michael speaks nationally on topics ranging from valuation trends and financial forensics to AI’s role in litigation and strategic M&A. He holds multiple credentials including Certified Turnaround Professional (CTP) and Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV), and has presented for organizations such as the New York State Society of CPAs, Academy of Court-Appointed Neutrals, and national valuation podcasts.
